One of the leading Ethereum sidechains built for the popular play-to-earn, P2E nonfungible token game Axie Infinity was hacked for over 173,600 Ether tokens and more than 25.5 million USDC tokens a total combined value of more than $600 million.
The Ronin Network Twitter account officially confirms this security breach through a tweet.
The affected Ronin bridge and Katana Dex were halted and the teams are working together with law enforcement officials, and forensic cryptographers, so that to make sure investors' funds are recovered & reimbursed. According to the team all of the AXS, RON, and SLP tokens on Ronin are safe right now.
